Takrarishta?or?Takrarishtam?is an ayurvedic medicinal preparation in the form of arishta (fermented liquid). It is used in conditions like swelling in the anal region, itching, and pain in the anal region. It also helps in increasing digestive fire, improves taste, increases complexion, facilitates the normal movements of Vata and Kapha, and?increases strength.

Preparation of Takrarishta
All the ingredients mentioned for making powders are to be taken. Then these herbs are crushed and made into powders. The powders are taken in equal quantities and mixed with buttermilk. This mixture is then transferred to ghee smeared earthen pot and sealed well. This has to be kept without disturbing till the ingredients get fermented properly ie when it attains the perceptible sour and pungent taste. Then this mixture is taken out filtered and stored for use.
