Mode of Action of Padabhyanga

When the Pada Abhyanga starts, the medicines come in contact with the skin. The massage with a circular movement will stimulate the central nervous system, increase the blood flow, and relaxes the nervous system which reduces blood pressure, and stress level.

When the procedure starts the pressure sends the calming message from the peripheral nerves in these extremities to the central nervous system, which in turn signals the body to adjust the tension level. This enhances overall relaxation, brings internal organs and their system into a state of optimum functioning, and increased blood supply which brings additional oxygen and nutrients to cells and enhances waste removal.

It positively affects the circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, immune, and neuropeptide system in the body.
