Chemical Constituents

  • The antioxidant property in amalaki is mainly due to presence of ellagitannins.
  • Carotene, Nicotinic Acid, D-Glucose, D-Fructose, Embicol.
  • High amounts of ascorbic acid (vitamin c) helps as important dietary source of vitamin c, with minerals and amino acids. The active constituent of amalaki is a group of tannins derivatives of ellagic and gallicacids, which make up a large portion of the extractable nonnutritive constituents. Most of the chemical constituents of amalki is helpful to enhance immunity system and with the help of antioxidants present in it will rejuvenate skin and even helps to prevent premature aging and even hyperacidity.
