What Is Padmasana?

Padmasana Is An Important Meditative Pose. You Must Have Noticed, Many Hindu Gods And Goddesses Sitting, In The Pose Of Padmasana. Lord Shiva Who Is Known As, Enlightened With All The Chakras Also Sits In The Same Pose.

Steps For Padmasana:

  1. Sit Down In Dandasana And Place The Right Foot On The Left Thigh.
  2. Similarly, Place The Left Foot On The Right Thigh. The Spine Should Be Kept Straight.
  3. As Per Convenience, One May Place The Left Foot On The Right Thigh And Then The Right Foot On The Left Thigh.
  4. Keep The Right Palm Above The Left Palm, And Place Them On The Lap.
  5. Focus The Mind On The Front Portion Of The Nose, Or Any Other Point To Meditate With Concentration.

Duration:

In The Beginning, Do It For 1-2 Minutes And Then Gradually Increase The Duration.
